NutriMetrx ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have in relation to your data when you use the NutriMetrx mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:

• Account information – email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Profile & body metrics – age, sex, height, current weight, target weight, body fat percentage, and activity level that you voluntarily enter.
• Nutrition goals – daily calorie targets, macro targets (protein, carbs, fat), and dietary preferences you set or that are calculated by the App.
• Workout plan data – exercises, sets, reps, and training schedule you create or that the App generates for you.
• Food log data – meals, food items, portion sizes, and nutrition values you log daily.
• Food images – photos you take of nutrition labels for AI scanning. Images are sent to our AI service for analysis and are not stored permanently.

We do not collect precise GPS location, payment information, contacts, or browsing history.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Calculate and display personalised calorie and macro targets.
• Generate AI-powered workout plans and nutrition suggestions.
• Log, store, and display your daily food and workout entries.
• Show weekly and monthly statistics and progress summaries.
• Improve the accuracy and performance of the App.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services & AI Data Sharing

The App relies on the following third-party services to function:

• Supabase – provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account and app data are stored on Supabase-managed servers. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini (Google DeepMind) – all AI-powered features in the App (workout plan generation, nutrition suggestions, food lookup, and the AI Nutrition Coach chat) are powered by Google Gemini. When you use an AI feature, the following data is sent to Google:
  • Your profile data (height, weight, body metrics, and nutrition goals)
  • Your daily food log (meals, calories, and macros consumed)
  • Messages you type in the AI Nutrition Coach chat
  • Your workout plan preferences

  This data is used solely to generate personalised recommendations and is not retained by Google beyond each individual request. The App will ask for your explicit consent before sending any data to Google Gemini. You can decline and AI features will remain disabled. See Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS for data in transit and encrypted storage at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and all associated records (profile, food logs, workout plans) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export a copy of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
